picture thread!

We haven't done one of these since the old EC crashed. So... use this thread to post a photo of yourself please. Let's see the faces behind the screen names. :popcorn Should we do families in this thread too (children and significant others) or should I start a new thread?

Paintlover Sat, 05/23/2009 - 10:06

WOW!!! Everyone has such great photos of themselves and their families!!!!

I'm with Lipigirl on the name change to EC4B!!! :laugh1

I'll have to dig up a photo of myself somewhere??? I'm the one behind the camera so I don't have to many of them. :D

Sara Sat, 05/23/2009 - 10:37

I swear I have children and both of them will be in high school next year. I'll snap some new pics of them this weekend and get them posted. :)

bolana Sat, 05/23/2009 - 16:53

Heather, I think you need to have a good look in the mirror. You have beautiful, capatavating, dark eyes with lovely, glossy dark hair 8-)

Bolana, other beauty on here! With a spunky other half too 8-)

Sara Sun, 05/24/2009 - 11:41

Wow! MP, all dressed up. Nice!

I'm terrible at guessing ages so I'm not even going to try. :)

Heidi Sun, 05/24/2009 - 12:04

Oh I agree, very niiiiiice! I think I luff your boots. 23 popped into my head. I think you look younger, but 23 is the number in my head that I can't get out.

Bolana, how long is your hair? ...and Heather, I like your smile.
I may be jealous of your beautiful, dark and shiny hairthatIcanseenograyin, but that is a personal problem of mine. Hm. I *do* seem to be fixated on hair, recently. I'm seeing these great info-mmercials about a pony-tail comb that looks comfortable and pretty...and I've cut my hair to chin length. Gah. I miss my long hair...but for right now, until I am able to stop the meds that make my lose hair, short it will have to be. I like this short style, it really is easy to care for and style nicely, but it must be something to do with horses and long hair. I miss it.

Heather Sun, 05/24/2009 - 13:23
HAHA!! no grey, its called redken expresso/plum mix with clear LOL i started going grey in my 20s
Ah, the secret is OUT! I used to use L'Oreal # something or other...the color was an ash walnut or walnut w/ slight auburn. But I had colored it for so long, I was finally *tired* of coloring it and wanted to see how much gray I had, and I don't think I'm seeing enough. Now, I'm not so sure I *like* seeing the gray...but I'm going to give it a little more time before I may color. I'll wait and see how energetic I feel this summer. If I'm feeling old/tired I'll probably leave the gray. However, with my Corvette back and if I'm feeling like I have more energy...I may just go pick out a color and let my 2-tone silver car be all the silver I need in my life.
I'm just over 40 and my sis is 3yrs younger. She was already salt/pepper in High School and is now probably 60-70% gray. ...and I think I'm jealous! Our father was silver by the time he was 35 and I guess I'm wishing I could have had his silver hair.

Those boots are my favorite footwear. They are 3 inch heels, but I can (and have) walk around in them all day. My friends call them my hooker boots, hence me doing the Pretty Woman move in that photo :D

Heidi- I can understand the loss of the long hair. I chopped my hair off in an extremely impulsive move right when I started my first year of vet school. I was pissed off for some stupid reason (that I can't recall at all) and was at the mall trying to walk off my anger. I was in one store and looking at a cool flat iron and I suddenly set the iron down, walked out of the store and into the salon next door and said I wanted them to cut off enough hair to send to Locks Of Love. The stylist got rather carried away in styling it after the first cut and I ended losing a good 18 inches. I'd not had hair shorter than the middle of my back since second grade so I was at complete loss as to what to do with it.
Love this thread! You guys look great!!
Knowing what you look like makes chatting to you more real - not a good choice of words but do you know what I mean?
Feel the same way. Had pictured you (hoofpick) as a dark brunette though. Don't ask me why.
I knew that Lipi, Jodi, Heidi, Jenks were stunning. Sara has not changed one bit since she was 17 (I suspect) :o and MP has the loviest dimples. (I always wanted that, but no such luck) I did not recognize ACC with longer hair (oops) and Heather looks lovely and like someone you could tell all your problems and secrets to. :) Glad to 'meet' CM, TCF, Pamela (the Miranda Lambert remark Jodi made is funny. Must be something in the water then, since they "live" close to another) RMT, Dillutes, Morgan and Bolana (WOW).
The pic of Heidi's husband in kilt but in front of the dishwasher cracked me up though. :P
Paintlover, hope to 'meet' you soon. I have the same excuse. I have nothing worth looking at since I was 5 years old (when I was still cute) But who cares. Here you go.

Me last year (in the middle)

[img]http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v655/…]

me working (the one without the mustache)

[img]http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v655/…]

and 3 seconds of me yesterday (I tried hard to dodge the camera, but that did not work. Me at a fundaiser, between 18 and 21 seconds on the left) :rofl

I agree with the sentiment that it is nice to be able to picture who you are talking too. Also, I can vouch that Sara looks as young in real life as her pictures show. When I first met her, I'll admit that I spent a few minutes trying to calculate how old she could be and still have kids that were the ages hers were :rofl But I can commiserate. That pic I posted of me and asked about my age was taken only a few months ago (and I am definitely older than the guesses :D ). Last December, I actually had a high school aged coworker ask me what grade I was in :BH

Monsterpony Sun, 05/24/2009 - 19:24
Well they r hot... maybe thats what I need today!!! :D :D :D
One of the best things to lighten a mood is to get all dressed up and have a night out with girlfriends. Just go out and dance! Actually, I have a tendency to just dance around my house whenever music starts playing :D

When I was 13 people used to think I was married to my brother. So I have pretty much looked the same for the past 10 years. :rofl On the other hand my oldest sister is 32 and people still look at her and think she is about 19. :laugh1

Heidi Sun, 05/24/2009 - 19:40

VL! You have a widow's peak! I *love* widow's peak hairlines! I don't know why...but I just do!
...and PL: My! What blue eyes you have! ...and a very nice smile.

Disclaimer about hubby's Scottish Kilt w/ Claymore in the modern kitchen... We were at a Halloween party and it was too dark outside for proper photos in the woods and grassy meadow, so our host's kitchen had to do. I wish I could get him dressed up again, with me. He is looking for a remote trigger/timer for our camera so maybe this fall we'll get dressed up agaian, set the Nikon on a tripod and use the remote to get pics of us, and maybe Tigre, too.

I told hubby about you getting a kick out of the photo and he laughed, too. So, maybe it won't be too hard to convince him to do more photos with me this fall.

:rofl I have EXACTLY the same situation! I was nearly my full hight (5'6") by the time I was 13 and I dont know if its being flat chested or my face or lack of makup or what but I've been "16" ever since then.

My cousin was I think nearly 20 when her baby sister was born, she is 4'11" and thin and the sister took after the other side and was a huge baby. She would get the most hilarious staring and questions when she was watching her and people were trying to figure out how that could be her baby. :laugh1

Jenks Sun, 05/24/2009 - 20:13

Man VL! That looks dangerous! You were never kiddin' about training dogs!!! LOL Are you removing that dog from the padded man?

I missed RMT before! Gyah. Hawt. And ACC? I thought you were a redhead (coming from a blond that likes to go brunette and/or red occasionally)!

Heather Sun, 05/24/2009 - 20:15

Well I have to say genetic'ly it seems to be the creme of the crop here lol

accphotography Sun, 05/24/2009 - 20:38

I was a redhead, albeit not naturally. I've gone back to my natural color, which is what you see in that photo.

:rofl :rofl :rofl That is to funny!!

My best friend is 5'2" looks about 15 and is two years older then I am where as I am 5'11" . So of course everyone thinks I am the older one. When we were kids we worked a couple conventions together and our name tags had our ages on them. Many a time we seriously considered changing tags. :laugh1

Heidi,
Thanks!! Big blue eyes are a family trait from my dad's side and as to the smile well, let's just say my parents payed for it big time when I was little. Had to have braces and the whole nine yards. :D Glad that's over with.
VL! You have a widow's peak! I *love* widow's peak hairlines! I don't know why...but I just do!
Hmmmm. Can you have a widows peak if your husband is still very much alive? :? Or is it related to my occasional urges to strangle him, which would subsequently turn me into a widow? (just kidding)!
I told hubby about you getting a kick out of the photo and he laughed, too. So, maybe it won't be too hard to convince him to do more photos with me this fall
He looks good in the dress. And he looks good in the kitchen. But he might even look better on horseback in a kilt. Braveheart, here we come. 8-)
Man VL! That looks dangerous! You were never kiddin' about training dogs!!! LOL Are you removing that dog from the padded man?
 She has some temporary hearing loss, directly related to the 'out' command. :? ;) So yes, I was lifting her off the decoy. It does not appear dangerous to me. (anymore) I like my dogs extremely highstrung, but my horses docile please.

@ paintlover. Very nice!! 8-)

lipigirl Mon, 05/25/2009 - 08:57

VL - wow girl you are slim & pretty ! MP cute and you DO look young but I am going to guess at 25 ! PL such a lovely face too - amazing for a self portrait - they are hard to get.

When I was 12 I looked 16 it always got me into trouble, I am 5'8" ! Now I look younger which suits me, they were talking down to me in SCBU last year until I told them how old I was, which incidently was older then some of the Drs and nurses! I started to go grey at 18 so L'oreal has been my friend ever since. I am actually not too happy now to be closer to 40 then 30 ! :|
