Who's Breeding for 2011 Foals?

I haven't had foals since 2008 and I miss them, and since I finally sold most of youngsters off as well as a few others, I'm having a nice, big breeding year! She is a beautiful mare and love the stripes on her legs. You should get a beautiful foal no matter the colour but I hope you get what you want this time :flower

I'm debating on if we'll breed Fortune this year as well... I have her up for sale, but a friend just said she wants to lease her for her kids. So... I dunno.
I was selling to make room for a section C I just bought... But if she's leased, it clears up the workload for me
So I'm still up in the air...

LOL. You caught that huh?
You still have your golden boy?

I've not signed a contract yet, so give me another week. After the prepurchase, I'll reveal if she passes!

Krickette Tue, 03/23/2010 - 21:54

Andrea feel free to post more Frodo pictures any time, lol!
Oh wait, didn't you say you stopped calling him Frodo? Or am I dreaming that....I don't even remember what his reg name is

I do, but he is gelded now. He's being shown at OHSET (in hand trail and in hand obstacle relay) to gain experience and is for sale as a driving pony.

I'm surprised you like the chestnut mare, because she's bred out of all western and foundation stock. I'm breeding my dun mare for a later foal because she does better in the heat with her pregnanices it seems. So maybe if you bred Rosalyn for a June foal she'd be fine, might make her better since she'll have something to do and to look forward to.

Sara Tue, 03/23/2010 - 23:42

I dunno, I just like her. :)

I'll just have to wait and see with Rosalynn. She is just now starting to look like an old horse and it makes me sad. I know a lot of it is that she is out of work and her topline has dropped. It's hard to watch a competitive horse lose condition. :(

Yeah, I did say that... but really... Manyara?
Frodo just fits him so well!

Awww. I was hoping he'd mature into a nice stallion... Do you have any recent pictures of him?

Sara Wed, 03/24/2010 - 11:58

The only recent pics I have of him have a big watermark across them. I suppose I could post a link, since I don't own them. He has a ridiculous clip job since it's only OHSET and I couldn't justify fully clipping a baby pony.

Go to http://www.stalnakersphotostudio.com/lo…" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; and log in with the word "northwest". The better photos are from the second meet so click on that and then find my student's number -- 658 -- along the left hand side of the page. Bree is in there. Oh and the jumping photos are AWFUL and I know it. She was riding a horse she had only ridden three times previously and only jumped once and she was jumping way ahead of him so no critiques please! We're going to use those photos as a teaching experience. :)

Bree sticks at 12.1 now and he will be 3 next month. His parents are supposedly 13.0 - 13.2. He is so odd.

I think that's better than Cory's![/quote]

Um. Areed! :rofl What was she thinking???

He's adorable! And tiny! How strange. Maybe he'll have a growth spurt? I was looking at Popsters Kismet, but wanted something a bit cobbier. You'll probably laugh when you find out who she is!

Sara Wed, 03/24/2010 - 13:58

Andrea, I hope it's one of Tickle's daughters. 8-)

Jenks, yeah, he just wasn't stallion material. It's okay, not every colt is. He could not have shown at OHSET as a colt anyway.

Andrea Wed, 03/24/2010 - 14:40

No, not a Tickle daughter. I just said laugh because she's as wide as a couch and not really the type of pony you'd want for your program.

TheRedHayflinger Wed, 03/24/2010 - 14:58

you all are making me wish I had a mare to breed...I miss foals!

I DO have two mares...but...doubtful I'll be breeding them...lol
