This weekend's show pictures and results Page 3

Here’s Frodo from the last show. They aren’t the best, but shows how much he’s learning. I really proud at how versatile he's become and I think his trainer is doing a fabulous job with him. She loves how easy going and willing he is. We're hoping with enough showing, he'll eventually get the idea that he doesn't need to show his woody. Though this show he kept it together for most of the classes and "relaxed" outside. The trainer was also mistaken in that Frodo got Double Supremes in halter instead of a Reserve! :bounce Double Supreme Halter Division Champion English Pleasure Reserve Division Champ Pleasure Driving Then a bunch of seconds and thirds in Western Pleasure and he tanked in the trail classes. This was also his debut in a curb bit. Jane said he was super in it and loose rein all the way! My little boy is growing up!
Yeah, myself and at least two friends want to know when you start shipping. *hint hint* ;)
LOL. Probably next year. I'll have to go through a Stallion Station though and might be too cost prohibitive?
I've got a couple other people interested as well. Especially after Ditto was born. I'd like to see what he'd do with a solid pony! I promised a breeding to a Clairwoods Joyride filly next year. That will be one to watch for! I know she'd like to breed this year, but no reason to mess up all Jane's hard work!
He is cleaning up and at such a young age. I can see him becoming a very popular stud.
Thank you! I have to say I agree :HB
People at the shows are really nice and congratulate his wins. There are also more and more bald faces in the ring! :o
I'm hoping if he can settle his hormones down, people would be more interested in breeding to him. But at only 4, we've got time. The guy has got oodles of energy! He finished up the Western Pleasure classes last night and went into the last class of the day which was trail and won 2nd out of 8! LOL. Since he has got the "stallion syndrome" people are really surprised how well he's doing.

At this point if you have him inspected to be an American Sportpony he would have to do quite a difficult dressage test. I think three year olds and under are judged only at liberty and free jumping but four year olds and up have to be ridden. I'm thinking of doing it with Cory but will have to find the tiniest dressage rider ever.

You're right, our boys are smaller than the standard calls for but I know of a Shetland who got his conditional approval so it's possible.
Oh, and I forgot to say that I am insanely jealous of his short, shiny coat!

Andrea, where did you get his surcingle? They don't have them like that on justforponies.com.
Doesn't it make him look cool???
It's actually Jane's and is from way back when she was breeding and showing her mom's ponies. I think it sets him apart from the other ponies and gives him that "Hey. Look at me". As if his white face, blue eyes and tremendous boner doesn't do that! :laugh1 :rofl

So I have no idea where to get one! I'll ask Jane if she has seen them offered anywhere. I know they were $$$$

The amount of time Jane spends grooming him, I am surprised he's got hair left! She does know how to present a pony!

Can you take a close-up photo of it? I might like to have one made and there's a custom leather shop near me.

I'm going to start taking Cory running with me so I don't have to lunge him so much and I'd like him to have a surcingle like that. 8-)

You can see it better here. When I go to the next show, I'll snaps some pics on and off of him.
