Sims 3 Pets has horses

Oh neat, I hadn't seen the video. I have it on pre-order for the XBox 360 (best husband ever?) I think I may have to dabble in making skins for the horses now, since you can make/upload/trade stuff like that with everyone online. Maybe I can make some (more) realistic colors so that we have all of the bases covered.
Here is the website.

I used to play the games SO much... not so much now. My poor laptop wouldn't even run it. But now that this is coming out... I think I need a new laptop just to play it. lol

I haven't heard of either of those? What are they about. I'm a huge fan of the horses in Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion (a new one is coming out soon!) because the horse becomes loyal over time. Like, you can have a horse for a short time, but if you get attacked or fall off then it runs off. After a long time with the same horse then it refuses to leave you. In fact, it may even attack whoever is attacking you!
Red Dead Redemption is kind of like that - horses gain loyalty over time with you. I think there's even an achievement for keeping the same horse for the whole game. The cool thing is that you can actually go out and catch wild horses, tame them, and then ride them around. I did that with a super badass stallion that was really fast. I lost him one time but all of the sudden he came running up from who knows where.
Both those games are VERY addictive and have excellent story lines.
I do not get it, they are very unrealistic and they have no saddles and bridles......
It's really a miracle that they have four legs. Or are even roughly the shape of a horse... I'm pretty sure everyone who does graphics for horses in games has never actually seen one. :)
Ye gods and little fishes,
Ye gods and little fishes, you people have WAY too much time on your hands!!
I do not have time for games, I spend enough time on Forums,. but at least they are real people, and very useful and informative, most of the time. Just how do these games help you in any way, in real life??
Adults are one thing- you decide, it is your life, you want to waste it that is up top you, it's the kids I worry about- you see them walking home from school, wires in their ears texting or talking on the phone- they get home, plug into the computer and that's it. What happened to family interaction?
I love RDR. War Horse all
I love RDR. War Horse all the way! And then Death pony in Undead Nightmare.
Shadow of the Colossus is a 'game as art' game and was originally released on the PS2. It is considered a prequel to their other game Ico which I never played (no ponies) but the PS3 release has both bundled.
The premise for SOTC is that you are trying to bring a dead girl back to life by killing colossi, who look like ancient architecture and organic materials were brought to life, and all you have is a horse and a stolen mystical sword. Your horse Agro is your main mode of transport and she is also necessary for destroying some of the colossi. You can perform some neat moves while riding her into battle like standing on the saddle shooting arrows while she gallops. Agro herself doesn't have the best 3D model (and kind of looks like an arab/percheron with calf knees) but the game is good enough that I could overlook that. ^_^
Trailer time! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DazoTQaq…
This re-release of their 2 greatest games is also in promotion of a new game The Last Guardian. You are a boy solving puzzle with a griffin creature that can only be described as a kitty-raptor.

It's so menacing and adorable! And the game is also likely to be sad knowing the developers.

That is awesome! I wonder what game they did?
Threnody - those look neat. I have mixed feelings about sad games, but they can be really good.
I think modern games are a lot like reading books (especially with how much reading you need to do in some of them.) Maybe a choose your own adventure book? Granted, I still read books. In between games. :)
That is awesome! I wonder what game they did?
Not sure. It was probably 7 or 8 years ago, but I got the feeling that it was some sort of Myst type game or something. Definitely set in early Viking history. All I did was grab one of the Fjords and they walked around him videoing his normal gestures (tail swishing, head movement). Then they had me walk him a little. Since that was all the movement they wanted, I doubt horses were in the game for more than anything, but background scenery.

I stole Shadow of the Colossus from my daughter but haven't done more than gallop the horse round, I can't quite get what else I'm supposed to do LOL.
I did like Final Fantasy 7 where you breed Chocobos (giant flightless birds) for racing, they come in different colours though you start with common yellow ones, some of the colours are rare, have special capabilities and only appear if the parents win enough races. The point is to eventually breed a black chocobo which is capable of running on the ocean so you can get to a special island. I absolutely loved that side game.

OMG OMG OMG OMG!!!! I stopped following and almost gave up hope that there would even be a sims 3 pets!!! I have spent soooo much money on these dang games, haha. I had all the expansions and like everything from the store and it crashed my amazing gaming computer haha. I have to re-install everything, lol.
I hate it when that happens.
I hate it when that happens. I have that sort of luck with Zoo Tycoon 2, have to reinstall and re-unlock everything. I love the extinct species expansion pack since it has the Quagga and it can interbreed with the Plains zebras because they are a subspecies of the Plains. ^_^

It's called "insomnia"...I know that my going off and playing a computer game is much more relaxing for both me and the hubby than my tossing and turning trying (and failing) to fall asleep.
I'm not in a full-blown insomnia episode right now, but my day begins around 5:30/6:00am and ends somewhere around midnightish, with me needing at least an hour of laying there to fall asleep.

I made a pony!! Lots of fun, can't wait for the xpac now lol. They mention that cats and dogs have more than one baby at a time now, I wonder if that means horses can be bred too? And how the colours will be inherited? I know the Sims 3 has an inheritance system, never looked into it too much, since breeding little people for colour might be what my husband would consider 'creepy'.
Ooooo. I don't even play
Ooooo. I don't even play Sims but I'm off to find screencaps. Thanks for the info!
EDIT: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C1OHPjNt…
Ok, that is really awesome. I may have to get this and I haven't played Sims since highschool. Why can't actual horse games customize this well? I'm loving the skeleton and I want to see just how much you can morph the body structure.
