And a chestnut!? :BH :laugh1 If you wanted a chestnut then congrats, but I suspect when one breeds black to black, they hope for black. :laugh1
That's what happens when a colour fairy hits hard for pattern--wand busts and the wrong colour pops out! :laugh1 :rofl

That is so cool. I have a friend with a black stallion, who was bred for black, and who has been bred a number of times to clients' mares and always thrown black. She bred him twice to her own mares last year and ended up...with 2 chestnut foals. Mares were a grey and a black, respectively.

Congrats...my friend used the same stallion and was very pleased with what she got over here.
Thank you. I had forgotten that my stallion had a foal in England until you mentioned that.
Did she get black or chestnut? LOL
I saw a picture of it once and it is a very nicely marked Black and White colt out of a Black and White mare. I don't know its LWO status. Would love to see more pictures. I hear he has done quite well in shows over there.

Congrats Songcatcher on a lovely patterned foal - color not withstanding. Oh, and if you don't want to go with "Blackie" I am sure "Jet" or "Raven" will work as well... :laugh1
 I did consider "Walking After Midnight" which would go along with our theme of song titles, the time of birth, and tie in with his sire's name, Rowdy Night Image. However, I think we have settled on Songcatchers Mr Bojangles.
