Due to decreasing use over the years, I have decided to disable the forum functionality of the site.

Forums will still be available to view but new posts are no longer allowed.

I was going to suggest the same thing about avatars! I skim the page when I'm reading posts and I get confused when there are no avatars to help me out. :-\

many of the avis I have laying around are at least 100x100 but it wouldn't let me link them. maybe it it would help people if the settings were changed to be somewhat bigger?

yeah, i am hoping mine works, lol. i had to do it as a bmp, cause the lowest i could go as a jpg was 27k, and this place only takes up to 6k

I made the requirements small because of the issue with the forum cutting off the right side of the page. If you two would post the size of your images I'll see what I can do.

I think posted images have more to do with that than avatars. I used to go to a fish forum that automatically resized people's photos to something like no more than 600 wide... I think... Do you know how to do that?

otherwise, there is always middle-clicking on any topic that is running over. Then you can read the whole thing.

I think the old site had 160 wide? or is that my game forum...dunno. Widths and hights between 100 and 200p are fairly normal ime. And typically you could link offsite without a file size limit, this one won't allow that. Banners are commonly restricted to 500 or 600p wide and 100 or 200 high, sometimes smaller. But I think that has to be enforced by admins, don't know if you can code it.
I see the forum is opening full page now and not in a frame :D (at least for me) that is much better.

I changed it to 200px X 200px

Rofl I just relaxed that for the winged angel smilie I put in angle instead of angel....off to fix that....

Awwwwwwww. :X I did walk in the door, but did not receive the sign up mail. So Daylene had to help me (Ha! that was her chance to get rid of me!) and I am just now trying to find my way around here, this is my first proof of life here. Thanks for missing me though.
