Re: colour help
I thought a buckskin was a bay horse with cream ? If this guys dam is palomino and the sire is a a brown based horse with silver and cream ,wheres the bay ? I am confused !
The palomino dam would have carried "A".
But everyone on this thread (IIRC) thinks hes brown based, so theres no need for Bay.
Re: colour help
Brown (At) is another agouti alle like bay (A). It is recessive to bay so if he had a regular bay foal that foal would have gotten A from its dam. A horse that is AAt will be bay. A brown horse will be Ata or AtAt. A brown horse can have points like a bay horse but they are generally darker. Check the I'm looking for modifier pics thread. At the end there is a photo of a tested brown mare that is about the same shade.
Hope this helps.

Re: colour help
Bay and brown are both alleles of agouti, which is why we call him brown buckskin instead of just buckskin. The bay can hide in red-based horses, like the palomino. You can breed a palomino and a brown and get a bay.
Edit: How did I not see that there was a second page? Disregard!
Re: colour help
I'd say silver brown buckskin! I can definitely see the cream in him.
