Gray horse with dark points

Re: Gray horse with dark points
I wonder if she is a buckskin going gray and isn't completely gray yet. That could explain her light color and dark legs? Her tail and mane do look like they are turning, but her body color has a 'yellow' cast to it and I can't decide if that is her body-color (buckskin) or the sun's light shining on her and turning her a golden color. I am also not sure if I'm seeing flea-bites on her neck/chest area, which would point more definitively towards gray. I also think I can see what looks like the blood vein graying streaks on her legs, but I'm not certain with the brush in the way.

Hmm, maybe.
At any rate, here's a horse who still has rather dark legs:

Those are in order between ages 7 and 8, by the time we sold her at age 13 she looked like this:

I thought buckskin going grey right off, but I do see the roan points -

silver XD
actually on an actual computer I can see grey, but I still think buckskin first thing. It looks as though the face might have fleabites....who knows.
looks like the same horse but from above:

Re: Gray horse with dark points
Thanks for the feedback. I am 90% sure that the warm tones are from evening sun, as the whole image has a slight warm cast to it. I did think it could be a buckskin going grey too and that it might account for the darker legs. I personally don't see roan in either horse, as the one behind her is greying too IMO (her face is the same amount of grey hairs as her body and obvious goggles). Anyways I think she is a lovely color and I do appreciate the comments :)
Re: Gray horse with dark points
These are all buckskin Spanish Mustangs...and the OP horse is in an HMA.....just sayin'

Re: Gray horse with dark points
On my screen that appears to be a light buckskin. Sort of creamy warm tones to her coat, plus her muzzle is dark.
I'll look for some examples of greys with their dark points, I know I have a pic of mist when we got her, her legs were black black!
