Re: White pattern personalities
Thank you so much for posting this. I know I've been trying to understand peoples definitions, and this works really well. XD Now for a DW D&D definition!
Re: White pattern personalities
Like, you have to start reading what the white tried to do more than what it did.
This has got to be my favorite line. When explaining why I see a pattern in another or on a minimally marked horse, I have to see what the white 'wanted' to do.
Re: White pattern personalities
LOL, that's good!
Re: White pattern personalities
Very, very good. Dead on IMO (except I believe frame causes face white too). I agree about the figuring out what it wanted to do.
Re: White pattern personalities
Does this work with husbands? After 18yrs I *still* have trouble figuring mine out.
Re: White pattern personalities
Thats more my style
Re: White pattern personalities
Brilliant illustration, I like.
I have always seen white patterns as little guerilla armies against the colour, in a medicine hat paint white won but colour is stubborn and wont give up the high ground, in minimal ones the colour won but the white pattern holds on in the roots. :rofl
The 'personalities' work really well. (bloody paladins)
Re: White pattern personalities
This is great!
Re: White pattern personalities
While I agree with a lot of this, I definitely disagree with this statement:
Tobino is an arrogant, self important pile of ego. It may be more or less subtle, but it flat out refuses to hide. I consider it a D&D Paladin...it's honor demands it remain front and center at all time.
I have several examples where Tobiano is almost invisible.
Re: White pattern personalities
Probably doesn't hide as well as most of the white patterns though

Agreed.

Almost being the operative word. Tobiano is never invisible and if any other patterns are expressed, tobi will definitely show in my opinion. It is very rare that you would say 'that horse is splash...oh and probably tobiano.' It is always tobiano first and then the other patterns.
