Re: Grey?
Oh here it is... she belongs to Heather (as does the photo):

You'd have a hard time arguing THAT wasn't gray. :rofl
Re: Grey?
Sure... to someone who's been breeding horses (and actually paying attention to color) for 30 years. :booty I'll bet if I posted that photo on HGS (and asked the "color gurus" not to respond) we'd get 30 responses saying she's gray. Some would even argue and demand to see photos of the parents. :rofl

don't think there's much arguing on that at this point, lol. If it's decent weather this weekend I was going to try to stand her up and get some actual good photos of her for once
Re: Grey?
I thought she looked grey after clipping but even before she looked it a bit too..I think its a combo of her cream being so light and having sooty too.
It's most definitely stunning - she's pretty no matter - but I'll recognize a good clip job next time!!! I ASSURE YOU!
Re: Grey?
I admit I am still not sure....everyone jumped on that bandwagon very very quickly, but I am not 100% convinced that it is Grey...or maybe that it is just Grey.
For example, that TWH filly, that was Sabino and had NO Grey???
How many would have said she for sure was Grey if her breeding had not been known??
When my Welsh mare starting going all the colours of the rainbow it was.....interesting!
But Grey was never an option, even all those years ago I knew, without a Grey parent, there was no way she was Grey.
If I had not known her breeding I might have, at certain stages of the procedure, thought it possible.
Then she went almost black, so I thought again!!
Sooty over Buckskin, with pangare, is ....interesting.
Re: Grey?
I don't think she's gray or roan. I think she's just a brown buckskin. Buckskins tend to get silvery hairs at about that age. There's one posted on here somewhere that looks TOTALLY gray, it's really wild.
