Which one carries the cream?

Re: Which one carries the cream?
I take it we have an unexpected baby?
Unfortunately, no. It was a very planned and expected baby, but it shouldn't have been. Both ponies are grade, and really shouldn't be bred, but alas, I don't have much say in the whole matter. ;)
I think the stallion might be Buckskin (want to see his other side)- though the mare could easily be Smokey Black.
I thought it posted a picture of both sides, but I guess I didn't. I fixed it now so there's a picture of his other side.
Re: Which one carries the cream?
This filly is from the stallion out of a sorrel and white mare. (sorry the pictures aren't very good :( )
Bay or buckskin?

Re: Which one carries the cream?
Oh no, I meant unexpected in the way of color. Like an obvious palomino when no one knew either parent was cream. :D I'm not opposed to breeding quality grades with a purpose.
Very hard to tell about that foal. She appears to have the same thing going as day. So she's either buckskin or bay with pangare'. If i knew what dad was I might hazard a guess on her, but I'm just not confident in it.

Gotcha. The foal was in my opinion a pretty obvious buckskin, probably with pangare. I'll post a picture of her tomorrow.
I am not opposed to breeding quality grades with a purpose, either, but the stallion for sure isn't terribly quality (I have seen several of his foals, and none of them are all the great) and the only purpose is to sell them. The owner is a really great person, but I don't quite understand how her mind works when it comes to breeding her ponies. :?
Re: Which one carries the cream?
Okay, here is the the daughter of the stallion and mare in the first post.
(I've never seen her before, and this is the only picture I have of her, but I'll probably be seeing her Saturday, so if you want to see more pictures, I can get more)

Re: Which one carries the cream?
I've seen lots of bays with pangare' this color (especially in ponies and drafts), which is what I thought the sire was. She's juts not quite right for buckskin IMO (nor is the sire).
I'd LOVE to see either of them tested to know for sure though. It would probably be easier to test the foal, but then the original question would still exist. I'd like to test the sire, but then we still wouldn't know for sure if the foal is or isn't. I say the sire as I more want to know about him and since they are such similar phenotypes.

Maybe I can talk her into getting them tested, especially if I test my filly, I can just send everything together.
Re: Which one carries the cream?
I'm gonna go with the mare. She reminds me of Nightlight.
