No it's not you, most people think that. Shoot virtually everyone I know... I'm the odd man out.
I just have a hare brained theory about tobiano causing roaning and "sorta spots".
I have seen breed with "no sabino" have tobiano causing large, localized roaning spots.

Yeah, just ignore ACC (what have I told you about not taking your meds on time?? Tsk Tsk :rofl )
Sabino.
I used to have a horse more minimally marked than that...his roaning was on one flank, not his leg (it can be anywhere) but his kids proved it was Sabino in their markings.

I accept it but I have no prrof....Lewella maintains this is so but I have seen pictures of very Sabino ish Icelandics...also, Lewella maintains UK Shetlands have no Sabino, yet Rabbit is a registered Shetland and has definitely (to my satisfaction) thrown Sabino on non Sabino mares.
As it is Lewella, and I respect her research, etc, I shall agree to disagree!

Check the "localized roaning" along a tobiano patch on this "non sabino" Icelandic:

I've also seen tobianos with their only body marking be a stripe of roaning in exactly the same pattern that a typical tobiano patch would be, just roaned instead of solid white. I've also seen tobianos with alot of white have a patch of color that was HEAVILY roaned, when there was no other roaning on them anywhere, only within the lines of the tobiano patches.

Now this mini, who could be sabino is interesting. She is most definitely a mini tobiano, but none of her white markings are solid with pink skin. They are all roaned in the shape of where the tobiano markings would be.

And despite what that last photo looks like, theres no pink skin under that spot.

Tobiano IMO.
