Well yes and no, donkey leg white works sort of like frame combined with another paint gene. Their legs are generally not completely white with random patches of white or color in them, they rarely have socks or anything unless they are more white on the body.

The last one is what I would say is "typical" amount of leg white for a donkey that minimally spotted, that one also has the typical kind of facial white a donkey like that would have.

I think I'm going to start some phenotypical research on donkey spotting, but not really sure where to start, and its just out of my own curiosity. I was just thinking that to me roan spotted and the non-roan spotted are different and I wanted to look at what other 'pattern' types there are.
