and here is Scott, LOL just in case anyone was wondering ........
Re: Happy 4th
LOL not really just long hair... and of course we'd been swimming all day and he didnt shave. :o
He grew the hair after he left the military... When it is down wow it is long........ He is more into diving, jumping out of planes etc. His photo really dosent due him justice and of course you cant see his baby blues :love
Re: Happy 4th
LOL yes he totally passed the test and had a ball with my family. They gave him some ribbing and he thought it was funny. We were completely happy that he took over the fireworks because my sisters boyfriend almost burnt the house down and shot Scott in the back :o He just laughed it off while I flipped out. He had a big burn hole in his shirt.
We played all day w my neices and nephew and he is a hit w the kids as well.... Tonight we are having dinner w my friend and her husband. WOW we have now spent every day together for 5 days. I must be crazy but oh well!!!!!!!!! He is a sweety and I just plain like him! :D
Re: Happy 4th
Yep. Respectful, organized, and punctual. AND, I think this is the first guy I've ever seen who could keep up with my energy level -- okay, I think he actually has me beat in the energy department. Of course he is five years my junior.
He's been sort of an acquaintance since last summer but I've only been out with him twice so I don't want to say too much yet.
Re: Happy 4th
Sparks good! :rofl :rofl :rofl Sometimes bad can be good too! :bounce
Scott and I talked for so long inbetween our first meeting and date so the first date we already really knew eachother. I think it took the nervousness out of the picture. Which made for a great date. ;)
Re: Happy 4th
Yeah, sometimes I wonder if I'm confusing sparks for nervousness. I know this guy well enough that I'm not nervous but I do look forward to seeing him again. I get panicky though. He called last night just to say hi (only about twelve hours since I had seen him last) which is totally innocent but it freaked me out a little anyway. I just don't want to get into too much contact too soon, and the whole dating thing scares me anyway.
Oh, and regarding sparks being bad... I think sparks with the last guy blinded me to some things that should have been obvious. I want to go into this with a clear head so I guess I should be glad that I don't get butterflies when I see the new guy.
Re: Happy 4th
If he called just to say hi, that translates to he really wants to talk to you!!! BTW I was and still am really nervous. It scares the pants off me to be involved but the alternative to missing out on a great guy would suck. Sometimes the best relationship comes from great friendships! :D It really makes me smile, because with out a doubt if Scott and I are not together he will call everynight before bed! :love I love that.

:D Me thinks you LIKEY!!!! ;)
Honestly, I don't know. I'm pretty sure he likes me though (he just now texted me a silly message) so... time will tell. Maybe I have to bust out my Pros/Cons notepad. :P
Maybe you should put the notepad AWAY and go with the flow. ;)
Re: Happy 4th
shhhhhhhh, don't tell him I stole this photo.
Re: Happy 4th
I know... but the more times I'm burned the more I want some sort of secret formula to know when it's the right one.
A) There is no such secret formula
B) No secret formula would work for each and every candidate, since everyone brings different things to different relationship, and at different times/stages in their lives. What you bring to your relationship/friendship with this new guy is totally different from what you would have brought if you had met him a year or two ago, before the blonde thing.
C) Hubby and I started out as just friends...in fact, the original intention of my visit here in 2000 was, on both our parts, nothing more than as one friend coming over to visit another. And well, I think I don't need to outline what happened... :HB :laugh1
Ooooh, and having now seen his photo...you GO girl!

Sigh. I know. And for the record pre-blonde thing was almost five years ago so that was a bit of a long-term thing that imploded last year.
To those who expressed appreciation for the photo I posted, thank you! Lucky me, eh? ;) If I'm feeling really kind I might post the photo of him being licked by a dog. He loves dogs, by the way, and has passed the dog test with flying colors.
Re: Happy 4th
:toast Here is to Scott's survival... :laugh1 And :bday American. Hope everyone has an enjoyable 4th of July (even those who aren't American - may it be a good day). :flower
