Does it hurt when you touch it? How long has it been there that you know of? How big?

Feel free not to answer if that makes you uncomfortable. I understand.

Sucks. :(

Oh, we all hate those appointments :BH , but this isn't something you can just stick your head in the ground and ignore. :-ss And it is probably nothing, but not worth putting off checking out and risking your life. Just remember, we will be here for you to sound off on... :ymhug:

It could also be a lymph node that is enlarged or emflamed due to an infection (those pesky things) that you don't even know you have. :hammer

it does hurt a little if I really press down on it, mainly I noticed it this week when it felt just odd in my bra and I decided to check it out. (I wear an AA so you can imagine its not hard to notice anything out of place :laugh1 ). It's maybe slightly smaller than a marble just on the lower edge of the muscle, on the side but not quite in the armpit area. It's rather hard and I can move it around a little. :? I have no idea what any of that would mean lol, why I'm going to a doctor.

:sad That sucks girl. Have you ever had a mammogram before? If not, it feels like somebody backs a pickup truck over your breasts while asking "does it hurt"? HELL yes. If you feel something, they will probably see it on film too. And it does sound like a cyst, but do not be alarmed if they want to make sure and add a sonogram after the initial x rays. At least, the second part is much much kinder. It is all kind of stressful regardless, after you find something is not right. Keeping fingers crossed for you.

That definitely sounds like a cyst IME. Is there any chance you're feeling an inflamed lymph? There are lymphs very close to the area you are describing that can flare up for seemingly no reason (have experienced this several times as has my mother).

No intent to scare you, but this is worth a read, especially where lymphs are concerned. My mother had to be biopsied for this (thankfully is was negative):

I hope they get you in soon and you find out it's something totally innocuous.

Thanks guys, I'm going to give it 1 week after seeing this:
Signs and symptoms of breast cysts include:

A smooth, easily movable round or oval breast lump with distinct edges check
Breast pain or tenderness in the area of the lump check, slightly
Increased lump size and tenderness just before your period check, I started TODAY
Decreased lump size and resolution of other signs and symptoms after your period we'll see
I have no other syptoms at all. My skin is fine (in fact it's never been better since I stopped wearing a bra at home and the mechanical acne cleared up lol). and its not swollen. I looked at several drawings of the lymph nodes and it doesn't seem to be quite near them. It's litterally tucked under the lower edge of my pectoral muscle (which is large and accounts for half of my "size" )

I get multiple breast cysts although not at the mo as I'm still nursing Bri but they do not always go up and down in size but they can be painful - hoping for you that is what it is - if it is and if they ask you if you want it drained say yes - it's doesn't hurt and gets rid of it... sometimes permanently...keep us posted and don't worry too much. hugs.xxxxxxx

Keep trying. I have had "is that all you got" sessions and "so that's what torture feels like" ones. If you expect torture, you can only be pleasantly surprised, right?
I believe soreness can also be related to the time of the month, btw.
