What patterns do you see?

Splash, possible that other "s" patter :rofl and possibly frame. What a cutie...in the last pix, that white neck patch reminds me of a white mouse... :bounce =))

Oh she is beautiful and of course since it is getting close to halloween I see in the second photo the belly marking a Witch riding a broom !

I would say splash and sabino --- I´ve seen a Welsh pony who looks tobiano ----- out of 2 sabino parents -- you can´t believe the expression on her breeders faces at her birth - parentage was genetically checked ..... and correct.

This one will be one for my record books if she's not frame. That being said, I honestly can't see her being anything but full Welsh and there isn't supposed to be frame in Welsh. I'd love to see her tested regardless.

He is a Miniature Horse Colt and I do know his pedigree carries the LWO gene. IF I keep him intact to breed, he will be tested.....unless I can't stand it and want to know NOW, LOL.

:rofl I was wondering where the Welsh came into it !!!!!!!!!

Sorry it was obvious he was a Mini....ACC you obviously do need new glasses :rofl
So, he can have LWO.
I would not have suggested testing for it if he had been Welsh as they only have Splash and Sabino.

RF I thought you advocated testing everything suspicious for frame. You can never tell. What once wasn't there sometimes occurs. :D

Well that's the most Welsh looking head, and body really, that I've ever seen on a mini. Maybe I'm not used to someone being kind and shooting a mini from such a low perspective.

That being said, I'm 100% positive of frame now.

GiddyUp Mon, 10/19/2009 - 20:51

I am so glad he is most likely frame. THAT'S WHAT I WANTED, a visual bay frame and with 2 blue eyes is a major plus. I am so excited about getting him!!!

Is splash still to be considered and is that because of the white going down the one side of his face?

Oh, and I always take my pictures at their level. I hate bad angles on minis, makes them look retarted!

Well, if it were a purebred Welsh, here in the UK, there would be NO point whatsoever in testing it for Frame......
OTOH I do always say, when in doubt.
It's just that there is NO frame in Native Ponies, anywhere in the UK.

As I am not even close to being an expert on anthing horse related (except the how to feed and make them fatter - lol), I hope you guys will forgive me for mistaking him for a Welsh (but he does have a dishy face - :love - and those adorable ears :flower )... :bounce
