This is my registered Paint mare, Red Bars Country Doll. Her papers say tobiano but I have several people tell me she's not just that. She's got some roaning going on on both sides of her barrel and her forehead too. So what do you think??

Something about the blaze makes me think there could possibly be frame here too. However, I am not certain by any means.

Good to know, thanks everyone! She's very special to me, it's very interesting to see how many color and pattern combinations out there. You never know what you really have until you do some research!

Are you, in fact, sure she is Tobiano at all?
Has she been tested?
I rather think she [i]has[/i]Tobiano, because she has four white legs, but there is no real visual pattern "proof" of Tobiano at all and I have to be honest, when you say "Tobiano" this is not what springs to mind!
So I am not even going to say Tobi based- she doesn't look Tobi based she looks Sabino based with Splash and Tobiano in the mix. I don't think Frame, but, obviously she should be tested for LWO, but the unlimited white legs makes me doubt it.
I would not risk a foals life on what I doubt, however.
She is not "Tobiano" and how any registry could say she is is totally beyond me!
She is unusual and she is pretty, though....

ETA Tobiano does seem to cause the roaning as well...

I don't have pics of her dam or sire, I got her when she was about 7 years old. I do know that her dam was a palomino paint and her sire was a black paint, both tobiano. I don't think she looks all tobiano either, she hasn't been tested for it, it just says tobiano on her papers. I do want to get her tested however, does anyone know how much that would cost?
