so is the foal rabicano like pops? or just some funky grey going on there? or both?

did find this cute pic of the sire (Aswad Shahwan) as a foal with his dam...tail looks the same on him too..lol

Must be Rabicano. I couldn't tell from the foal photo but the close up of the sire looks Rabicano..... the tail is cool, looks like he has a skunk on his butt :lol:

You know that colt and his Sire look Brindle....I wonder if this is how Brindle is created, when it is not chimera?

False brindle? ;) I could see a really, really extensive rabicano/sabino thing looking like one of those brindles with the white stripes. Kind of makes me wonder if there is some horse genes that lines up patterns like that, especially with the zebra markings...

IMO neither the sire nor the foal look brindle. They look like extensive rabicanos to me.

I agree, extensive rabicanos. I wouldn't rule out gray here but I don't believe it's the cause of 90% of what we're seeing.
