Another filly, but this time by Sinatra's Song and out of an Arabian mare. She is only 8 hours old here:

Okie dokie, she's got her vet inspection this Friday, will be weaned, and then have the Hano inspection. After that she will go straight to her new owner.

This person came all the way out of state to see her, and the night before she was to come over, the filly somehow got loose, and was running up and down the hillside trying to get back in with her dam. She sprained an ankle, was DEAD lame, the breeders got on the phone immediately, spilled the whole thing, had the vet out, stalled her for the night, took her out to the arena next morning; filly had never been off the property, never trailered before, but she was a total doll, and the person bought her on the spot.

So they had her just about sound when husband gets chest pains about 2 days before the Hano inspection. So it's a no go. Now it's the next one up in Kentucky, and hopefully no more disasters! That's horses for you.

Song just went Premium at her inspection. Breeder said she handled the hauling and strange arena with incredible self assurance, was let loose in front of the inspectors and new owners, got lovely comments - despite getting loose at one point and also falling down! She hauled like an old pro, wanted to lead the way when going down to the arena, walked off the trailer first, walked first on a strange trailer with a ramp she had never seen as well. She was taken away by her new owners, who called when they got her home, said the barn owner was blown away and kept asking how old she was because she was so calm.

No. These may be the last foals they breed. They have retained one more breeding, and may or may not use it, but I do not think they will repeat this pairing. The mares are being handed off and they are downsizing their animal load.
