Songbird - Hanoverian/Arabian Filly

Forums

Another filly, but this time by Sinatra's Song and out of an Arabian mare. She is only 8 hours old here:

Bay! No signs of grey, and I suspect he may not. Both his parents greyed out quite quickly, so this lollygagging about is less likely with him. He may show signs further down the road, but he is a formally registered bay for now.

I think they look freakishly like each other. The mare is a real blue hen. He'll be marketed heavily this spring, along with his stablemates.

Mmm, well, I feel quite bad you missed out on Imari, as you liked her so well. So I'll tell you they are getting close to stepping out of the breeding business entirely, and are, very quietly, on the lookout for situations for all their stock. I am quite upset at not being in any position to take them, as I'm sure I'll never get a shot at such quality again.

Yes. High Point offered them a deal, a huge one, on breeding her and Angie next year, with the success of the cross on the market. But I don't think they took it. This foaling season was tough on them, and the economy is not supportive. They put so much into their foals, they cannot keep it up.
