Preggy mare bellies

Forums

I took some pics of my mares yesterday and thought I would show off their bellies. Slaney is 189 days (yesterday) and if that belly drops anymore she will need a belt  Its mosly underneath and she is not that wide. She is in foal the horse in my avatar [img]http://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t35/Minimad1/SantaandMares010.jpg[/i…] Rosie - not sure if she is pregnant but she is starting to get wide and if she is in foal she was 168 days yesterday when pic was taken. [img]http://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t35/Minimad1/SantaandMares013.jpg[/i…] Here is a bit of video so you get a better feel for how wide Rosie is getting. The other two in the video is my 2yr old filly Shimmer in all her hairy glory and this yrs foal Ruby the small fat hairy blob. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oXtlHZ0447w" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; Anyone else with hairy molly pregnant mares?

Well last yr Rosie had no really belly she was just a normal weight - not toned but not overweight but this yr she is getting very wide and even though she is out on 3 acres (same as last yr) the grass is just winter grass and they get a mineral lick and a feed everyday to make sure that they are getting nutrients. She got the same last yr but last yr she was a lot trimmer.

Have you ever had a foal from Cherish Lipi?

No the vet finally thought she was pregnant last summer 2008 and said she had 2 weeks to go but that was when I was in hospital having probs with Brianna so I think she slipped it in the field as no foal arrived but hey who knows !

Just adding that although my hubby is very good with the horses and called the vet out to check Cherish whilst I was away, he was not neglecting her it's just there were a few more important things on his mind.
