Interesting Paint mare..

I saw a picture of this interestingly marked mare on a horse rescue forum, she was rescued in 2010 at a auction in horrible shape. I don't have any pictures to post but her pic is on her pedigree in allbreedpedigree, she is registered as a chesnut overo, but she looks silver to me and is she Dominant white and sabino? What do you guys think?? http://www.allbreedpedigree.com/fit+to+be+tied2

I think its very possible she is just black, with the sabino/DW roaning her, making her tail light and some sun fading.

Yes she is at least partially deff .... it also mentioned that she had 4 all white foals.

In that case I would guess that she is either SB1 or one of the Dominant White mutations along with splash. She is quite unusual isn't she? Do you have any idea if her head is as white on the other side?

Well the other picture of her is of the same side but her head is turned towards the camera and her head looks all white. The lady that owns her is in NW Oregon maybe MP can go pluck some hairs ymwhisle .

I did look at her progeny report and there is one offspring pic, he sure looks dominant white to me...

That being said it's hard to say if her all white babies were LWO or dominant white. I noticed the stallion she was bred to at least 3 times is Frame, I've seen him advertized here in Washington. It's sad that to think they kept breeding her back to the same stallion if she was having LWO babies, you'd think one would be enough even if they didn't have the test for LWO yet.

I re-read her post she actually said she had 2 all white babies(that she knows of), I don't know where I came up with 4??
I guess my question is, were they lwo babies?
Yeah that's what I'm wondering, I sent the lady that owns her a private message asking if her she knew, but hopefully she doesn't think I'm to much of a A-hole, because she is interested in saving horses not color genetics :-(

I hope if they were'nt LWO they didn't put them down not knowing any better...

Ok she wrote me back and shared a picture of her when she rescued her from the Kill pen, she was nothing but skin a bones. :-( The picture was of her other side and the white does go all the way down to her should pretty much looks the same as the other side. The woman that owns her said she tried to get a history and was written a letter by the people that owned Two eyed Chico. She was owned by the people that owned Two eyed Chico for quite some time and when they had her she did have 2 white foals that lived from a Frame stallion. But she also had at least one pregnancy where she aborted the foal (by a QH stallion) and reabsorbed a set of twins by ACS Ultimate Dream. A couple of her foals were also deaf. She also said that she was registered brown but was genically chestnut. She was sold in 2004 or 2005 in foal to ACS Ultimate Dream in foal with her fifth foal. That foal died at birth but sounds like neglect or just the people didn't know what they were doing and then she said she knew she had 2 more babies after that a colt and a filly both Palomino Overos.

So from that information she must be dominant white and Splash correct?

Here she was the day she was rescued from the kill pen in March of 2010, she had a baby by her side in this condition rescued by another man thinking the mare was in to bad a condition and that she wouldn't make it, but thank God she had a Angel in the woman that rescued her and she is safe and will be cared for.
