some bad news... nhr

Yall know my grandad had esophageal cancer. He went thru chemo and proton therapy and it went away, then it came back, then more proton therapy and surgery and it's finally gone. Well today he found out he has liver cancer. It could be treatable but they won't know untill they do another biopsy. So if y'all could pray for him, that would mean a lot. Mom and Dad and my brother were going to go over there for new years, but with this news they don't want to cause him any more stress. Plus my great great aunt Lucille is not doing well right now, they just signed off on the DNR, so Mom want's to be here for her, especially since she's pretty much the only family member that aunt Lucille remembers and recognizes. She's very old though, she's outlived her late husband by 15 years or so which is a lot. She rode into Louisiana in a covered wagon, she's got some great stories. Anyway, I think it is probably Aunt Lucille's time, but it's not my Grandad's. It can't be.

You and your family are in my prayers. May God give you peace, comfort, and healing. I know this is a trying time for you and your entire family.

Thank you all for your prayers. I really can't tell you how much it means to me.

Aunt Lucille went home this morning. She always said she didn't want to live to be 100, she made it to 96. She's finally reunited with Uncle Forrest.

I am so sorry to hear about the loss of your Aunt Lucille...she sounds like she was an amazing woman - a true pioneer.

I am also saying a prayer for your grandfather. Your family is having a really hard time, just remember we are here for you....

Thank you all for the thoughts and prayers, they are really appreciated. It's not good news for my Grandad. He's just started his chemo up again this week, without it they'd give him 3-6 months. It's in his liver and his bones. I'm going to go visit him with my mom and dad this weekend. Please, pray for his recovery and for travel mercies. Thank you thank you <3
