Satin (and Lace) photos!!! From birth to current (almost 7 weeks)!! (PIC HEAVY!)

Lovely foal, lovely mare, lovely pictures!
I like them all- the masked one is a classic, though, as is the one where Lace is teaching her how to buck....trouble in store??
I really like the foal halter- you can send it to me for my colt when you are done- it should fit him in a couple of years :rofl
I especially love that she is au naturelle- by this time Mini foals would be stripped to the skin and I loathe that- a foal is what it is without being naked!

is it just me, and I'm just now noticing it..but the blob at the top of her blaze...it looks to be paler than the rest of her pally coat...

TRF yes it is distinctly lighter. I noticed it about 3 days after she was born. When looked at up close, in person it is VERY obvious. It doesn't photograph as well as it shows in person (hey, you're close by, you should come see her). When you look at the hair up close and flip it up there is no pink skin but it is VERY obvious the hairs are much lighter than the rest of her. It's not roaned either, the individual hairs are just a lighter color. I have no idea what it is. Reverse Bend Or? ROFL! Maybe "gold spot"? I just hope it STAYS. With no more white than she got she needs soooomething unusual!

Oh and believe me, I want to clip her. Her hair is so long and so dense. She just absolutely burns up. I'm keeping them inside during the day to help as I don't want to clip her, but so far she refuses to shed anything but her head and legs.

In some of the pictures you can probably see her clip spot on the left side of her neck where we gave her the IVs though.

Hmmmm...I could deff. see a roadtrip in the next couple of months sometime when I have some time off work. Would love to meet you and your lovely girls!

She is just GORGEOUS and so full of expression as is her gorgeous Mommy. You struck Gold with this cross - will you be repeating the cross? Lace just looks amazing and Mommy hood seems to suit her.

It does suit her. So much that I wish I could keep her in foal. But alas I don't really have the time or facilities for many young horses at once. Give me a couple years and I very well may. It's definitely a consideration, just not this year or next. I'd like to get Lace going under saddle again this fall and next year.

I noticed that lighter spot on next to her blaze as well, those are great pics, I love the bucking one and the one of both of them stretched out running in the mud.

She's a keeper for the time being! I doubt hubby would ever let me get rid of either of them (despite what he says sometimes LOL). She was bred to be a keeper and other than her distinct lack of body white (despite being frame) I'm not disappointed at all.
