Satin (and Lace) PHOTOS! From 7 weeks to current (12 weeks!)! (VERY pic heavy!!)

Satin is almost 3 months! She was 12 weeks Friday and will be "3 months" on the 25th! They are both doing wonderfully despite plenty of bumps in the road here and there (oh I could write a book). At last measure Satin was 11.2hh. That seems a pretty good size to me for under 3 months. As some of you know (and some may not) I clipped her about 3(?) weeks ago. She was just getting WAY too hot in her lamb's wool coat and I couldn't keep her cool enough even in a stall with fans. It was the first time I've ever clipped a horse so please excuse the funky job. I was also not using "body clipping" clippers, only trimming clippers. Let's see, what else did I have to share? Hmmm. Maybe that's all. Onto the pics! Foaling video: Part 2: http://www.facebook.com/home.php?ref=logo#%21/video/video.php?v=1015021… Part 3: http://www.facebook.com/home.php?ref=logo#%21/video/video.php?v=1015021… Again I'll post the link to the whole album here and post my favorite pics from each album below. As if Lace could ever take a bad photo! She's gorgeous.
Satin is beyond dreamy, I adore her! She's super fabulous. And such a ham! I love that fuzzy mane and tail, I don't think Jazz's was ever that pretty looking!
I'm glad she likes kids! I thought Jazz would be good with kids, till my cousins got in the pasture with her. Then she was like "OMG people foals!" and started playing rough with them.
Anyway, your girls are just beyond gorgeous, and your photos are stunning as usual!!! I'll have to go through the albums when I am on a faster connection!

Both mom and baby are stunning. I love #3 of the front arena pictures because Satin looks so regal. She is just shaped so beautifully! I am SO envious right now.

I dont think there are enough words in the dictionary to describe her but I will just keep it simple. She is Stunning, Gorgeous, Beautiful, Elegant, Pretty, Amazing, Wonderful, Dazzling, Scrumptious etc etc etc
Same goes for Mom too.

I love all those photos.

Beautiful photo's, that twisting buck photo is amazing, if she bucks like that when she's big with a rider, somebody's going to get launched :D

accphotography Thu, 06/23/2011 - 00:02

:rofl Ain't that the truth! I highly doubt she's going to buck though. We're doing all sorts of work with her to make sure she's really comfortable with all things mounting related.

Yeah ground work is key, as is just spending time with a horse. That was just the first thing that popped into my mind lol :rofl . I learned from looking back when I was really young and had to train my own horses that I loved my horses so much that I was with them every day just being with them doing everything I could with them before they were old enough to get on, that by the time I did get on they could care less, I think they thought that I was already a appendage or somthing  .
