Rolex Kentucky anyone?

I took 723 photos of the first inspections today. I'm proud to say that *most* of them are very pretty. :love Sadly I'm beat and can not even think about editing tonight, but I picked out a few random ones I liked. So that's what I'm up to... Bittersweet it is. Then I've got Derby works and Oaks and Derby days next week. I'm going to be exhausted when it's all over... and drowning in photos.

Pictures are beautiful!!!

It always makes me laugh to see the business clothing worn with horses...especially the shoes (particularly the lady in the 3rd picture down). Hope she doesn't get stepped on in those!

I think the clothing is supposed to be "English county (gentile)" but correct me if I am wrong. Never mind the shoes though. I was staring at the feet (especially in this pic you mentioned) and went on to examine the rest of the horses. For animals this well kept, that seems worrisome..

Thanks guys!! There's lots more where they came from if I ever get around to editing.

I use a Canon 40D, but the lens is the biggest thing. Canon 70-200mm f/2.8

Yes Vneer, I agree on several counts, and you haven't seen the worst of it... not even close.

Major trimming/shoeing issues. Obviously these horses are sound, but I personally believe the majority would be alot better off with a correct trim and shoeing.

Oh and the lady in the dress shoes, that was nothing. You should see it when they wear stillettos. :rofl Impressive ladies they are.

Great pics! And I agree Nerd..
Don't worry ACC, you'll be able to photograph a horse with correct shoeing/trimming when I ride in the Rolex. :D

Awesome Pamela!! No I don't use a tripod except at night or in extremely low light.
