Remember Girls night out????

Just wanted to let you all know he passed the dog test with flying colors!!! Lilly hates most everyone LOL and she licked him to death! :flower We had dinner out then came back to my house and I have to say I really like him. He is very nice and we have great hours long conversations. My first report as we have been taking it slow....... :D

Oh that's great news Jodi :D Enjoy taking it slow. I hope this guy turns out to be a keeper, but if not someone who leaves you with some fond memories :love

Thanks guys! :D I am a little smitten. It is nice to be able to laugh with someone or talk for hours about anything and everything. I didnt post anything these last several weeks because I wasnt so sure i wanted to get involved. He has been really funny, not pushy, and it is really cute, (the nights I go out w my GF's) he always calls to check on me... and if we arent on the phone we are chatting on the PC LOL!
Just wouldnt have thought he really would have been my type but guess you never know till you get to know someone! ;)

Well congratulations on finding someone to help you get past the jerk of a soon-to-be ex :flower ...I am a firm believer in it "having fun" does more to help you get over someone than all the therapist in the country... :laugh1

Okay, he passed the dog test - BUT, has he passed the horse test? How do the kids feel about his presence (although I don't believe in letting kids dictate who their parents are friends with), that is another important test.

Jodi Wed, 06/17/2009 - 12:37

LOL Critter! My only child just turned 21 Monday and is off at college! ;) He, on the other hand has 2 little boys 7 and 10... I am MOOOVVVIING slowly and havent accepted his invite to meet them yet. ;) he has been divorced for 3 yrs. I think he really understands due to same situation with his ex. He dosent push me. I would probably run away w my tail between my legs! Not met the horses yet either, I m sure he will soon. Right now were at the really having fun stage. :D

Jodi Wed, 06/17/2009 - 12:39

I hope this dosent sound horrible because I do love children, but it is one of the issues that freak me out w Scott. Mine is grown and his are little... He has them most of the time....

Thanks Sara!

critterkeeper Sun, 06/21/2009 - 16:46

How sweet Jodi...you deserve a good time with virtually NO strings. :toast Don't worry about meeting the kids - as long as they understand that you are daddy's "friend" :^o and not trying to be their "mom". :bounce Also, don't panic about the future until his overnight bag turns into a suitcase - :laugh1

Jodi Sun, 06/21/2009 - 23:31

If I thought I was FREAKING out before..... I am now freaking out twice that!!!! LOL........ Jeeze I just got hm and he is amazing..... :love I am seriously waiting (like a teen) for the shoe to drop.......is this healthy????????

Jodi Mon, 06/22/2009 - 06:35

LOL Sara. I had just gotten home, not got him hehehehe (my typing error) :laugh1 :laugh1 :laugh1
He is just so laid back and sweet. Love his house, love that he cleans :laugh1 Love that he told me he missed me this weekend. Love that he made me some great CD's. WOW I feel giddy :laugh1 :laugh1 :laugh1

critterkeeper Mon, 06/22/2009 - 08:20

:laugh1 Whoa girl, you DO sound like a school girl on her first crush. I suggest you walk (or maybe jog) and not gallop - as we all know a nice hard gallop is FUN, EXCITING and HOT, but it tires fast and then it is all downhill until all the heat (read passion) is GONE. :sad So slow down and enjoy the ride for as long as you can (and try to get those emotions under control before you start giggling and babbling like teenager :ymdaydream: ;;) ) - It is wonderful to be in a new relationship, but we don't want you going off the deep end (you might drown and then what would we do without you :love ) :laugh1

Jodi Mon, 06/22/2009 - 09:01

LOL Critter... you have such a way with words. :laugh1 Im just having fun!!!! Not IN LOVE bahahahaha... if it ended I'd be fine, (alittle bumed) but fine. I would def miss the perks but then Im sure there would be another fish in the pond.... :rofl :rofl :rofl Kinda liking the giggle stage though ;)

vneerland Tue, 06/23/2009 - 11:41

I think you are in love. :P ;) And that is nothing to be ashamed of. Just try to make no moves until the butterflies settle down a bit. Enjoy it girl. I am happy for you.

Jodi Tue, 06/23/2009 - 14:31

OK VL not in love yet but he is def giving me alot to think about!!!! ;) I could fall that way...LOL I am so enjoying the fun, the attention and above all the friendship. I honestly have never met a man that enjoys (and will) sit and talk for hours on end. Like a girl hahaha but totally all male!!!!! :laugh1 :laugh1 :laugh1
did i mention i think he is soooo cute??? :rofl :rofl :rofl The eyes get me everytime (for reference look at my husky's eyes) gulp

vneerland Wed, 06/24/2009 - 10:26

A man who loves to talk/listen a lot is rare. :o I know of one, but he never sh*ts up and gets on my nerves. (eventually) He is indeed straight.
But if he compliments your shoes, get worried. The only men I ever met that complimented my shoes were gay.
:rofl

lipigirl Wed, 06/24/2009 - 10:40

I'm lucky my hubby listens and compliments but not my shoes !!!.....sometimes I think we don't always fancy the good ones and want the bad ones that make our hearts flutter - but that's no good when you are in your 80s and the only thing left you have is conversation (with a lot of shouting because you are deaf !!).... :rofl

vneerland Wed, 06/24/2009 - 11:07

When grandma (born 1910) got married she got a quick sex education from her mother. She was told about birds and bees and worriedly asked how long a man could............
In answer, her mother picked up a broom and put it flat on the floor.
"See honey. As long as he can step over this, he can....."
So maybe, Lipi, there might never be a day when converstation is all that's left. :?

critterkeeper Wed, 06/24/2009 - 13:05

:laugh1 :laugh1 :laugh1 That is too funny Judith (however I know there are a bunch of men whom wished that were true :sad -- and a lot of wives that are glad it isn't :rofl ).
