Pony Video

I took some new videos of the pony. Running around his paddock: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bm5ZFzSgJ-E Trot poles and cavalletti : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4HRNEFudoBw Free longeing: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RvvktldLnVY New under saddle and in cart video is hopefully going to be filmed within the next week when I can get a helper.

So prim and proper in the trot poles! Did he develop that excellent knee action I see in his free longeing vid in harness? I am pleased with how he still tracks into his front prints even at that level of collection. We took a driving clinic last weekend and hope to hitch P'rose up soon to see what she remembers.

Admin: He is 12.3 1/2 hh according to my best accuracy.

Tiana: All that movement is totally 100% natural. The trot poles are set to his working trot; that isn't even collected for him. When he is feeling lazy, he will use the momentum of the downhill slope to the lower trot poles to extend his trot and take them two at a time. If I had sound on, you would hear me telling him to easy as he approaches them so he doesn't skip some poles. I am going to be getting video of him long lining and in the cart in the next few days as I'll have someone else to run the camera. He actually doesn't usually trot with his head up so much, but my holding the camera up to video was confusing him as my arm being up is a speed up cue. As soon as I put the camera away, he started trotting in his normal frame. I am actually quite proud of the fact that without the use of any bit of harness, side reins, martingales, anything like that, I was able to naturally build up his fitness and movement so he moves completely on the vertical on a loose rein.

Thank you! He has some sort of DW/sabino something going on which is giving him white spots and roaning to go with the Bend Ors so he has been confused for an appaloosa/POA on more than one occasion.
