Photos needed for the comparisons gallery

I need good close up photos for the comparisons gallery. Something like the photo below would be great! This is a palomino that shows mottling. It would be awesome to have comparisons for LP, champagne, and silver. I would also like to have examples of hoof striping from a bay or chestnut horse and also hoof striping caused by partial white. Those will do nicely thank you!

Also, I thought there were some in the gallery but I haven't been able to find them so...I need blue eye photos. Close up side shot would be best and I need both double cream and white pattern.

Oops, meant to add this one instead of the direct face shot.

Do I still have the capability of adding photos to the albums? Looking these up reminded me that I have a ton (probably 50+) of photos that I keep meaning to upload.

Champagne eye (sorry about the focus, when it's viewed smaller it looks better:

Splash or frame (frame positive):

This stripe is caused by a small section of white right at the coronet:

Then there's something like this:

These for striping on a solid bay foot (they're bad camera phone pics though):

Partial blue (splash)

Do you want mottling shots of around the eyes/muzzle too? Also, I can crop any of my images and send you full sized versions if you want to use any of them.

Oh forgot to ask does silver always cause that mottled looking skin or is it more like cream in that it sometimes does?

Monsterpony Mon, 03/28/2011 - 16:40

I think that silver has variation of the mottling expression, but I will admit that I tend to focus on the eyes rather than the skin on them so I can't say for sure :D

I know that I have an under tail picture of chestnut that shows the minimal mottling they get somewhere around here, but I haven't been able to locate it yet.

I don't know if you need anymore but have quite a few examples that you can use, you can actually have anything out of my photobucket, but here are a few more examples.Annis striped hoofs, her minimal Rabicano markings and her mottled skin under her tail.

The under side of Nike's mane is white. It reminds me of frosting on a buckskin, but I guess his is caused by old age and sabino

These roany patches is caused by years with an ill fitting saddle and not by any white pattern.

[img]http://a1.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/photos-a…]
These white markings were also caused by scarring (chains used to train him for WP when he was young)

Not a great pic, I'll look for a better one, but Mist had weird eyes that I have no idea what caused it. She did have extensive vitiligo, so maybe that. Anyway, I don't know if anything else causes something similar...

ETA:
The above photo was taken when she was around 7 or 8?
This one below was taken around 13:

Jazzy's eye also has that marbled look:
[img]http://a6.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-…]
[img]http://a5.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-…]
but only on her blue eye.
Her blue eye is caused by splash or frame
(Audrey has MUCH better pics of this!)
