My Album - questions about uploading photos.

I have a lot of photos that I can upload but I'm confused.
Please keep in mind I use the computer without any formal instruction and a limited idea of computer lingo. I'm also observationally challenged - don't make symbol/sign connections well. Please be patient.
I tried to upload a photo into my own album - just to see if I could, and I bombed.
It is a wikimedia commons photo and it linked, but when I look on my album page I just get a thumbnail that shows links on a chain (link?), instead of the photo. If I click that link I get to the wikimedia photo. Is that how its supposed to work?
How can I get the photo to the gallery under appropriate headings?
This the the photo url (wikimedia commons). I have a friend who has been kind enough to put some photos there for me.

So on my album page I went to 'Add Item' and on my page the tabs read:
From Web Browser
From Local Server
Upload Applet
Gallery Remote
I don't have the 'From Web Page' option . . . ??
I can get the photos emailed to me, and then put them in from my own photo files. I think that I'll try that.

If you add a photo as a link, then yes, that is how it works.
If you have a photo you'd like to upload to your personal album that is already on the web you can use the "From Web Page" tab and enter the url of the photo. This can be a handy little tool if you have a bunch of photos in a folder on the web somewhere as you can just enter the url of the folder and it will list all the images that are in that folder.

You have to have admin access to upload photos to the example albums. If you have some you'd like added you I can pm you my email address or you can upload them to your personal album and I can copy them over.
