more craigslist adventures!

oh lordy. There are some VERY nice looking horses around here for around $500, but I'm not going to list all of them. I just searched for horses under $300 and got some interesting results. One of them went to the auction at 9am this morning :( Anyway, here are some other interesting ones.
I want a walker too! Wouldn't mind a champagne on top of it.
I would love to have a walker as well, there is a place here in WA that always has nice ones for really reasonable prices, they don't advertize on craigslist but the are consistantly on dreamhorse. Check out this Golden Palomino they have for sale.

Me too, and some room to put her :D. We are down to 2 horses again and if were smart it should stay that way, but it's hard not to window shop. I was glad to see you guys do it too, hee hee, my husband gets after me everytime he see's me looking a craigslist and dreamhorse, but horses are so cheap right now! OMG it's hard not to want more when you see a killer deal and REALLY like that palomino TWH, her mane is so pretty white.

I can't get into Walkers. I guess there's a stigma about them here. They are probably in the top 3 most popular breeds here (next to QH and paint) and they have some hideous ones. And a lot of the people who have no right owning a horse own them. Keep them in their back yards in the city and ride them with chains down the road, take them on long trail rides and run them the entire time, just not good people.

It's sad the way people abuse horses these days and it's also sad that the TWH have such a bad reputation where you are Krickette.

I will one day have my Champagne TWH mare :love

Saw another one a few weeks back beautiful Classic Champagne Pinto Mare TWH, 15hh trail broke and sweet natured and only $1500........only trouble was it was a grade one - no papers so great as a trail horse but absolutely no good as a broodmare (which is what I want too, probably will ship her in foal).... the world is already full of too many unpapered foals for me to add to it.

I think TWH get is such bad situations because they have such kind temperaments and are gaited so easier for many people to ride. How many Arabians or TBs do you think would put up with an 8 inch shank with a bicycle chain mouth piece, caustic chemicals on the legs and yahoos that ride like sacks of potatoes on their backs? TWHs are too nice for their own good sometimes. I am in no way trying to bad mouth good TWH owners/trainers as they are one of my absolute favorite breed, but they do seem to have a larger portion of not so great owners out there.

I agree with this. I wanted to add that one of the reasons they get ran all the time is how many really casual riders want to trot the same amount of time they spend gaiting?

Funny you saying that but I never forget with my Paso that she is using a lot of energy gaiting and therefore I would not ask her to do it for longer than i would trot her......trouble is she loves doing it so I am often having to reign her back and say no - walk now !!! LOL !!

Yes, the eviil ex step dad saga. She still has the chestnut that they rescued but her mare Cajun had to be put down. The starved chestnut in the pics is Sweetheart but she's registered as () She's a great horse, a really awesome riding mare that would have just been a broodmare her whole life.
The black and white stud there, , was actually a decent looking horse at one point.

My little gaited mare has a niiiiiiice trot...so I don't mind her trotting too...she has separate cues for her saddle rack and for her trot. I do need to work more on her trot though for the next few weeks...pole work here we come! LOL
