Technically this is her 7 month update, but I'm doing it at 8 months because I'm that behind. For those of you that didn't know I was busy working late October and early November, then we had Thanksgiving, then we moved, then my mom had surgery in Buffalo etc. :D So sorry it took so long to get these to you. They were taken 11/22 so almost a month ago. She's quite a bit bigger, and FAR, FAR hairier now. :rofl Abdominal ultrasound results (complicated by an INSANELY active baby that shocked the vet and a very hairy Lace which made the view hairy as well :D). The vet is supposed to be coming tomorrow for her next shot. I don't think we'll be doing an ultrasound but we'll see. I'm feeling the baby nightly now. She's a real gymnast, tossing turning, kicking, bucking, etc. She's gonna be such a diva. If Lace could roll her eyes she would. :roll: :rolleyes: She's even gotten big enough to see her moving from the outside some. It's so much fun!! I'll post back once the vet has been out and again when we get more pics. :D

That's exciting! I take it she's still a filly and wasn't hiding anything earlier? Poor Lacy is going to be HUGE in a few months, yikes!

Those are nice pictures, that's what I was thinking, 8 months already! but it's not my mare that I'm waiting for to foal, that's the difference.

Well daddy is massive himself and Lace was pretty big even before she was bred so I DO expect this foal to be a monster! Thanks guys!! We're anxious and excited as well. To be honest, I wish I had MORE time. :D

WOW she looks great, she is so big she looks to be even further along than her due date indicates (she is as big as Maya who is due late Feb. - we "think"). I hope you get a big, healthy, dark gold pali filly with lots of "white".

You are lucky you have a "bred on" date to work with, we just have the US guesstimate of Feb. 22-28 (US wasn't very clear and she wasn't still) Maya is so big, I am going with the 22 date. I am also hoping for a filly again, but who knows, just because Luna has never prod. a colt - YET!, there is always a first time. Either way, it will be a pali - hoping for another georgous golden one like Goldie (she turns 2 in April).

She is VERY contemplative lately. Very quiet about everything and is quick to put some of the "silly kids" in her field in their place with a look of disdain which is new for her. She's gotten a bit grumpy though. I reckon she's probably a bit uncomfy. Baby continues to be doing somersaults every time I feel her belly so I'm sure she's pretty tired of that.

She's lost some body weight even though her belly has gotten bigger. Normal for her in winter. She's still a solid 6. I'm just going to have to make sure she doesn't drop much below that.

I just wanted to update here for those that didn't see the other thread. Our hay and thus fields have tested below the safe levels of the fescue endophyte so she will be allowed to stay on both our hay and pastures until we choose to keep her in to foal. YAY!!!!
