Due to decreasing use over the years, I have decided to disable the forum functionality of the site.

Forums will still be available to view but new posts are no longer allowed.

If you could make changes to the site what would it be?

I'd like to know how you feel. If there is anything about the site that you feel needs improvement or something that really bugs you now is your chance.

Love that the adds are now only non logged in people!! I'd love it if we could have a link where it would go to a forum only page without the pictures etc. on the sides, I'm always on limited interent coverage though so always notice the diffence on this site. My only very minor gripes are larger than normal font which I can't stand, smilies on the quick reply making for slower load (just realise that there is no other edit/reply, sorry though the one below was just the quick reply version *blush*, forget about that then)I don't much like the forum part, I love the old neater style forums but I guess that's life. The main part of the site of the site I think is great and you do a great job. I

I think Danni is on to something with a forum direct link option...I know I used to love that funtion before the changes...You are doing a great job and know that we appreciate all you do for us (esp. when considering you do have a family to raise... :love )
My only very minor gripes are larger than normal font which I can't stand
What monitor resolution to you use?

Why you say the "pictures on the side" do you mean the user avatars or the image gallery pictures in the side bar?

I'd like to be able to make new posts in the kitty cat forum. I had a question that I just gotta know the answer to!

I made a change to the way the font renders. Better or worse?

You may now go to the "My account" page and turn off the image blocks on the side. After you go to your account page click the edit tab at the top. Scroll down until you see the "Block configuration" box. There will be a check box with "Gallery Block" next to it. If you no longer wish to see the side block images make sure that check box is NOT selected. Click save.

I hope that helps a bit for those of you on slow connections.

I have never been completely happy with this theme, so today I broke down and purchased one. I have 60 days to chose one. I don't have to use it on this site. If everyone here would like to keep the current theme, I will use it on a new site that I been thinking about but haven't done anything with yet.

http://demo.rockettheme.com/drupal/ Here are the choices. They have demos of each theme so you can try them out. There are about 20 choices. The menus are fully flexible so I can adjust them to the current layout.

I would really like some feed back on this. ATM, I feel that the site is not very visually appealing to first time visitors and I would like to change that.

(and yes Rabbit, I know you hate me)

Change the background colour to a nice restful pale blue.

Anything requiring me to enable, disable or bake cookies or do anything else with them, or learn anything new, or not be able to do anything I am used to doing will result in my wrath.......

Just remember some of us spend a lot of time looking at a computer screen, for work and play, so need colour schemes that don't strain the eye.

Honestly, nothing sticks out for me. I like the forum and I like the site in general. I like the theme too, but I'm not opposed to changing it either.

rabbitsfizz Fri, 11/11/2011 - 13:42

Yes, sorry- explaining computer things is not my strong point!
After posting a topic or on a thread you have to fuss around trying to get back to the forum you were on- I actually find it easier to exit the Forum altogether and re-enter via my favourites bar than to do all that- but that brings me back to the main Forum, not the forum I was on and I have to.....
Do you get the idea??

Ok just to make sure we're on the same page. When I post, I am taken to the post I just made. That is the same behavior that you are seeing correct?

Third Peppermint Sun, 11/13/2011 - 20:30

Meridian might be nice. I'm not sure how easy it is to customize themes with Drupal since I've only done Wordpress, but if we could change the abstract trees to abstract horses it would look snazzy.

That's what I see. Maybe they want a forum link thing at the bottom as well as the top? It is slightly convenient to scroll all the way up when I think about it.
