Canine Breed Identification testing

I thought this was interesting. Has anyone used it?

I don't know if it's the exact same one, but I know of a person who used something similar to this. I'll see if I can't drag her over here :)

I did something similar to this with my boxer, but through Biopet ( http://www.biopetvetlab.com/BreedIDHome… ). For the most part it was pretty accurate for him - it came back as mostly boxer, with I think a "level 4" Scottish Terrier in there too (I have to go dig up his results to know for sure, it was either level 4 or level 5). He's definitely primarily boxer, and is registered with AKC's PAL/ILP as a boxer. The test is based off only a limited number of AKC breeds, though. I do sometimes think he's got some American Bulldog in him somewher, based on looks and behavior.

I had mixed reviews. One person I know sent in samples to two different tests and came back with wildly different results. One said her dog was a collie or shepard or some other common herding breed mix (feasible). The other said it was a SalukiXBeagle!? Given the rarity of Salukis and the appearance of the dog, that one seemed quite far fetched.
