Yes I already signed a petition. I also joined the facebook group -
'Blue Tongue world cup warm up video'

I'm totally against it! For starters, just the fact the horse can't even see where it's going. You can't tell me that doesn't cause them to be anxious or stressed (let alone what's going on inside them as that position is not natural long term).
Re: Blue Tongue and Hyperflexion - Petition
I just do not think that this form of potential torture has any part in the horse world.
I remember once I did up my mares noseband too tight and it rubbed her raw in under an hour, what these poor beasts are going through boggles the mind.,......and, for what????Pray????
It makes me absolutely cringewhen people on LB instruct driving people to do up the noseband tight if their horse is playing with the bit because "That is what the noseband is for!!!"
No, wrong, the noseband is, today, purely to look pretty, a remnant of a time when horse wore halters under their bridles and had a lead rope attached in the form of a lanyard round their necks (I speak as one who, in her youth, rode in full military gear!!), and that is all a noseband is, nowadays.
Using this ....thing.....is beyond cruel and unusual, it approaches the realms of the TWH's (the padded ones) and the "Peanut Pushers" that I loathe so much!!!
