Due to decreasing use over the years, I have decided to disable the forum functionality of the site.

Forums will still be available to view but new posts are no longer allowed.

Been working on a new website.

I have had my freewebs site for a couple of yrs now and decided it was time to do somthing new. As I am at home every night and once kids were in bed I got to work. So for the last 6 wks or so I have been working on the new site. Its still a work in progress as I am still adding and tweaking and correcting errors I come across (I am sure there are many many more :-D ) Anyway would love to know what you all think or where I could improve or change things. Also if anyone wants to swap links I would be only too delighted. I am far from a computer wizz but I am pleased to get it to this stage anyway. http://www.bannerminiaturehorses.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Flash! Did you use flash builder or something else? I like the layout of the site but I'm not real fond of the purple background but then again I'm not a great fan of purple anything so that may just be me.

Very nicely done! Especially for someone who says they're "far from a computer wizz".

I used the Wix site to build the website and it uses flash.
I know my colour choices may not be everyones cup of tea but I am like a magpie when it comes to purple :lol:
I might see if I can tone it down a bit so its not so in your face.

You should see my kitchen now had the whole thing painted and have a nice purple colour up on some of the walls. Units are now cream and a couple of walls.
Will put some pics up on a different thread.

It took me a LONG time to put together and its still a work in progress and might be changed around a bit but you have to play with it to get what you want I suppose. And like I said any errors you see or things that might not be 100% pls let me know as when you are staring at somthing yourself for so long its hard to see the wood for the trees.

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the purple and the whole website. It does load a bit slow, but with Flash I'm not sure you can improve that much. I think it looks great. IMO it's not really a too in your face purple. It's a rather pleasant shade.

I like it! I found an error...on the main page, 2nd paragraph, "definately" is misspelled, should be "definitely". I also think the 1st paragraph would read a little easier if it was "Welcome to Banner Miniatures, based in Co. Clare, also known as the Banner County hence the name Banner Miniatures". I added 2 commas. If you want me to proofread more I can...I tend to notice errors immediately any and every where I'm ready.

I'm not sure about the stallion section. When you click stallions it leads straight to Banner's page. I wouldn't know you had another stallion if I wasn't looking for it. Its fine if it goes there but maybe rename the other links, like instead of Stallion Page 2 name it "Arabian Sunset" or something. Or just instead of "Stallion at stud" which implies there's only one, write "Stallions at stud"

eta:
and you have links to the resutls page for your stallions but not for your mares. Which I guess is just nitpicky haha, if someone really wanted to know they'd find out

I like the design, but it loads slow, and if the menu remained consistently throughout all pages it might be easier to navigate. I hope all is well Banner! Baby time?

Baby time Friday. Going into hospital tomorrow for c-section on Friday. About 99% ready. Have ordered a quiet sleeping baby - hope the stork is listening lol.
