Re: Anyone live near Mount Morris ILL ?
OK, will post a link hang on ...............
http://www.geocities.com/lostfortyfarm/…" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
am just not quite sure about her - is it just me or she a little camped under ?
She sounds perfect otherwise except that she is probably over budget for me up to $1600 - that is because of shipping ect and is why I was thinking of maybe a weanling or yearling instead. Why is it - since I had a baby I can't make decisions at all ????????????? :roll:
If you could find out for me roughly how much a pre-purchase exam costs I would appreciate it CK?
Will post more that I like and you guys can comment - PLEASE ??? :flower
The only one that takes my eye is Amber , all the others I am afraid, and the breed as a whole, leave me cold.
Why this breed??
Was wondering this too, honestly. Maybe there are just so many of them around here that they aren't worth looking at. I dislike the way their heads and necks look, too. Honestly the only gaited breed I have found that strikes my fancy is...I believe they were kentucky mountain saddle horses. They actually hold their heads like normal horses, I couldn't tell they were gaited till I really paid attention to them. They're gorgeous.
eta: when I think TWH, I just think of this: http://photos-a.ak.fbcdn.net/photos-ak-…" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Re: Anyone live near Mount Morris ILL ?
I have discovered that Gaited breeds, being that you do not have to rise in saddle, are much better for people like us RF, who have a disability and/or back problems - they are great for it. Now Pasos are wonderful but as I stated before the European genepool is tainted by confo problems and inbreeding and to import one is going to cost me a fortune as they costso much to begin with, TWH are cheap at the mo because they have so many of them....and also the English are so 'sizest' over their horses they believe that anything under 15hh is a childs mount and not worth riding - generally which is where the TWH comes in they are much bigger and have wonderful dispositions...so that is why.

Okay, now you know you need to be posting links to these "babies" so that we can help you make an informed decision ;) (stuff like bloodlines, potential, just because we want to see them :D )... :bounce
