Illusion baby video

Forums

Ok I dont have any recent baby's but this was my last one (2005), still have her, she is a big girl now, the one in my Avatar. She was the cutest baby, kind if shy but way over it now. I love how my daughter Esther is talking to her so she can try too get a few gentle pets in. They are still close but now Esther can give her sqeeze hugs. :love http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iXNOECeUx-M" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Thanks Slaneyrose, Yes Esther is good with animals she is 11 now. I'm the same way I train all my own horses and even though I dont know how to teach them anything super fancy I know they wont get broken getting broke. I usually only work with my young horses 20-30 minutes at a time and always leave on a good note being careful not to push them to far to soon. I think the main thing that always helps me is that I truley love horses and treat each one individually, they know it when you like them and in my experience when they like you back they will try to do anything for you.
Hey you know I looked at you website and I love your little minis, that little silver dapple stallion of yours, I never knew what to call that color and when I was a toddler we had a little pony mare that exact color silver minimal tobi, and I have never seen one since. I think she was welsh or atleast part welsh but that was about 1968. I have a pic of her somewhere, her name was Sheena.

Thanks rodeo...Im exactly the same as you...gentleness always works much better with horses not pain or fear. Did you know Sheena is irish for Jane??? :love

You know I never thought of it but Sheena does sound Irish. Here is a pic of the old gal, I think the man my sisters got their ponys from crossed QH's with Welsh ponies. So that may be what she is, but that was a long time ago. She was the mother of my first pony her name was Peppy she was black, no white at all, anyway she was a great pony and was passed around the neighborhood and taught all the children how to ride. Here is also a pic I took this morning of Esther and Illusion.

Yeah she does look icelandic, that picture is in about 1967 or 68 so she was probably just a grade pony of some sort. She sure was a stocky little thing with lots of bone. She may have been QH/Welsh, alot of our QH's back then didn't have the finer heads like they do these days but its so hard to say what she really was although all I remember my sisters telling me was that the man they bought their ponys from had a QH stallion he was crossing on his pony mares. Here is a picture of her filly Pepper with my niece Deidre on her in about 1979. Like I said Pepper was born on our farm and then sold to 2 other familys in our neighborhood. Then when this picture was taken I had bought her back to teach my niece how to ride. Then eventually sold her again to another little girl in the neighborhood as her first pony. Pepper was really a great Pony.

A Welsh would typically have had an even finer head than a QH so I'm not really seeing Welsh and am not sure where the silver would have come from. The pony mares were probably grade but as we know a good first pony is golden, no matter what the breeding!

By the way I love your daughter's name. :)

Awww thanks, yeah I know her head doesn't look Welsh at all really, probably just a grade pony, I remember them being around 12h.
