What colour could she be?

I have a mare that comes from a pally father and supposedly a grulla mother (say supposedly as she a bucky, pally and cremello full sibilings) My mare has been cream gene tested and was neg. Sire was Pally, His sire Pally and dam was a skewball Dam is Black Grulla her sire is Bucky and her dam is Brown Grullo Will get summer coat photos of mare in question, but any idea what she is suppose to be?

Hmm, sounds like the dam wasn't really just a grullo, maybe a smokey grulla or smokey brown dun instead? Couldn't have a double dilute foal without having cream herself.
Yours looks like she might be brown or faded black? I want to say brown... She reminds me of my old mini...

I would just call your mare black. The foal she has there looks bay/brown though, what was the sire?

I've heard lots of mini and shetland breeders here call smokey blacks, grulla, so I would say your mare's dam was indeed smokey black.
