What color...Blue or Bay Roan??? Not mine.
You are correct that a brown muzzle can indicate a bay roan rather than black. The problem is that some black horses can get sunfading that can mimic the brown muzzle. From those pictures, I am the fence between between a brown roan versus a black roan, though I would I think she is more likely brown rather than black. What colors were her dam and sire?
whoa, looks kinda like a bay roan with silver... is she possibly from that one silver family?
Unusual color for sure. Surely must have Silver to make the mane so light. Appears much too brown to be a Black/Blue Roan. Perhaps Smokey Silver Black Roan?????
Welcome Pamela, whoever you are. I am in southeastern Oklahoma.
She seems to have a lot of red in her coat to be a black roan. Most of the faded blacks I've seen look alot more tanish then redish but that could be the camera.
I think bay roan too but just to throw a spanner in the works what about Liver Chestnut roan as a possible too !! :D
I think bay roan as well. Classic roans can have silver turned manes, sometimes it just "bleeds" in there. There's always the possibility of something else as well though.
Oh course you know I'll be the odd man out and say what I think it *really* is. ;) Brown roan. Silver is possible visually.
I'd say bay, with a possibility of silver.
Btw... when is she due??? :rofl
This is her pedigree.

The owner lives in Florida & says she's sun faded, but I still don't buy it!! lol
She's due any day....she's a marestare mare.
The sire of the foal is...

I say brown roan or liver chestnut.
I think she's a Brown Roan.
I think brown roan as well :)
Brown Roan...I don't think she has Silver, that would cause a Flaxen/ whitish mane, not a Grey one.
I had a Connemara Bay Roan mare a few years back who had a Grey mane and tail and my Bay Roan pretending to be Black Roan mare also has a lot of Grey, not as Grey as this mare, but still lots of it!
I say brown roan and I'm on the fence about silver. Silver in the stock horse breeds looks different than in minis and RMH so I think it's a possibility.
