tobiano plus what

This is a young filly I have. Her previous owner called her a tobiano but I wonder what other pattern(s) might be there. She doesn't have ermine spots but does have a ring of dark around her coronet band so she has black hooves. The band is broken on her near rear so she has a white stripe on that hoof. It is hard to notice but underneath her mane she has a broad white marking. The right side of her chin is white also. What would you test her for?

Just bear in mind that not testing + for Sabino and Splash does not mean the horse is not Sabino and Splash ymwhisle

I vote for tobiano only. Splashed whites almost always have 2 blue eyes and bald faces. Not sure why someone would think this mare has a splashed white gene? Would love to see the results when they come in. :)

Umm...no...no they don't.

Splashed White because Tobiano does not carry face white and Splash gives bottom heavy face marks- so Tobiano needs another pattern to put white on the face. Splash carries blue eyes but does not haveto produce blue eyes, in fact a lot do not or have only a partial blue eye.

Hi The results did come in a while ago but just am getting time to post them.
So even with all her face white she is 'just' tobiano.
Now I am really confused.

Sabino 1 Result:
N/N - No evidence of altered sequence detected.

Splashed White SW-1 Result:
N/N - No copies of SW-1 mutation.

Splashed White SW-2 Result:
N/N - No copies of SW-2 mutation.

Splashed White SW-3 Result:
N/N - No copies of SW-3 mutation.

Well there are even very obvious looking splash horses that test negative so I wouldn't be surprised if she has an unknown mutation. Has she been lwo tested?

Shes still not "just tobiano." Shes not not SB1 or Spl 1-3. That doesnt meant shes not Sabino 2-X or Splash 4-X. Or LWO. etc

Yeah gotcha. What is confusing to me is that I was taught that tobi's had a solid face unless something else was at work.
Is that still the theory?
