Odd marking

Hi, This is a pure bred connemara foal from 2 grey parents, sire was born dilute not sure on dam. Foal looks palomino going grey. The breeders (friends of mine) were wondering what pattern the unusual face markings are. This is a view from the side, hopefully will get a front on one too. He has a very big blaze that covers alsmost all of his face but goes around the eyes.

Does he have any more white markings, like on his legs? Also what about the parents, if they are not too greyed out to tell?

He has white on at least one foot, seems to have a triangular top, only going by pics so a bit hard to see. Mum's dam has thrown a lot of big white faces. Mum appears to have at least a snip and probably a blaze as well. Sire had quite a big blaze, almost 3 pronged at top on forehead then narrowed down to muzzle where it widened out and covered bottom of muzzle. Hope this makes sense. Would it be likely that this mating would always produce major face markings?
This is a link to sire as a foal.

There is no LWO (as yet) in Connies so I would plump for Splash, which does tend to put the "disjointed" and unusual splashes on a horse, anyway.
There isn't Tobi, either so it is only a choice of Sabino or Splash- the two together are what accounts for the "colourful" Welsh and Arabs,
Are you sure he's going Grey?
Does the Connie book accept CrCr now?

Not sure he's going grey. The Connemara studbook finally accepts double dilutes. Do you think he is one or just a pally?
These are some other pics of him, do you think he's going grey? Pretty sure sire is homozygous grey but not tested.

I have no doubt that he's a palig going grey (definite goggles around those eyes)...
