Has anyone ever seen this?

This is a yearling mini who is a silver bay roan. He was clipped for showing and this pattern showed up. The coat texture is smooth and even but it looks like he has lichens on his back! "A rolling stone gathers no moss."

Someone needs to tell that boy to move a little faster so the lichens don't grow on him! Or get him out of the water, the algae (ocean/coral) is growing on him!

I choked on a noodle, does that count? :rofl :rofl :rofl

It's reminiscent of halo/peacock spots in appies, but in white, not colour.
