Frame? yes or no.

I have this foal from a Sorrel Pinto mare I bought in foal to a Black Tobiano/Frame stallion. The filly has blue eyes. I have sent in hairs for a test, but would like to hear your opinions on if she is Frame or not and reasons for those opinions. filly: [img]http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b218/FreelandNash/Queen/09%20foal/IMG…] [img]http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b218/FreelandNash/Queen/09%20foal/IMG…] dam: [img]http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b218/FreelandNash/Queen/09%20foal/IMG…] sire (not a good picture at all, but shows his markings):

Is the stallion tested as tobi/frame? looks very much like a splashed white to me

on the filly I really cant tell if she has frame, nothing jumping out at me, that face marking is unusual but it could be anything.

I agree with Morgan sire looks splash to me, although the foal looks splash, and sabino to me and probably tobi too - congrats !!!....personally I don't see frame but better to test as you are. ;)

The stallion is listed as a "Homozygous black Tovero pinto that has been genetically tested to carry the frame overo gene." :hammer

hmm..well..he is a mini :rofl
just add splashed white to that list, I think it's wiping out the visual on the rest

I don't *see* frame in the filly. I see splash.

The sire is clearly a max splash. That's not Shamu is it?

I'm late, but I was going to say I did not think, based purely on visual, that the foal was Frame....BUT of course, *test* and you have!!!!
She has a typical Splash/Sabino/Tobiano marking, face and eyes.
The sire is far from "Max" Splash, but is obviously Splash + Tobiano....and it would be very easy for him to hide Frame in there as his markings would over power the expression of Frame, although I would have thought Frame would have attempted to limit the white on his legs...even so, as we all know, visual identification of something that is not called "Lethal" White for no reason, is just for fun!!!
That is a pretty "freebie"!!!
