Dun factor?

Whatcha think? Dam is Bay overo, shipped semen, sire is supposed to be a bay. Owners are worried about whether there was a mixup lol [img]http://sphotos.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ash3/549765_396965720322254_1000002…] sorry that's the only pic I have. I told them not to freak until they have the first foal shed. So give it till July to see but she wasn't kidding that that is a LOT of dun factor.

Wow, the dorsal and shoulder shading is very distinct, but more pics would be needed. Do the SO's have a dun stud? Getting full body images and images of the tail would help.

I'm on the fence with this one. If you look just down from the withers you can see where the dorsal goes smutty looking. If the foal is brown it could be just countershading as browns tend to have more countershading than bay foals. However, in this pic he looks to have a more yellowish body color than would be typical of a brown. Any chance of getting full body pics of the sire and dam? Either way he is an interesting case.

I asked and I'll see what she says.

The baby looks like a grulla color wise, don't know how well it's shown up in the picture but she said she thought it was a grulla.

It's hard to tell from that pic, but she does look "blueish' more than "bayish" to me, but need to see more pics.
