Black or brown? *GAH*

Just looks black to me on my monitor - is it an Oldenberg ?

Yes he is. Can you see the brown in his flank?

Audrey, I am not so sure that is brown in his flank - I blew the pix up to 300x and it appeared to me to be a light (white?) patch on his lower belly...I also vote black

It's in every pic I've ever seen of him. In some it looks more brown. Let's see...

Yes he sure is. I'm a big fan. *droools* He has belly spots too, which I find is very rare on black bases.

I'll go with Brown.

As far as I know he was tested for black.

Yes but then having seen some of the darkest liver chestnuts and balck bays that sort of colour it does not surprise me at all.

It doesn't really surprise me either, it's just evidence towards the possibility of the OP horse being brown as well.
