What makes its roan over say rabicano?
I ask because I have a yearling gelding that will look like that once his spring coat is here. He is Anglo-Arab.

There is virtually no roaning in his flank, the majority concentrates over his hips. To be that roan and not have more in the tail than that is an indicator as well.
