Somatic mutation

My AQHA palomino mare has a large light cream marking on her right side. It was not noticeable when she was a foal, but it is clear now. Someone suggested that it was a somatic mutation. She is a palomino With a white stripe on her face.

Her color lineage is:

Dam is chestnut with white stripe on her face and a white sock. Her sire was a palomino. Her dam was black.

Sire is palomino.

I would appreciate any information on this marking.
