Solid Eyes in Splash Horses

Alright so I've heard it more then once, that not all splash horses have to have blue eyes. And after looking at some AQHA horses, I wonder if I'm looking at Splash or Frame. I started with Big Chex to Cash http://www.allbreedpedigree.com/big+chex+to+cash which there he is listed as Sabino, his web page is listed as Overo, but I don't see a OLWS test for him on his stud page. He has blue eyes, but neither of his parents have blue eyes. His Dam's Sire line has a history of large Blazes. But no blue eyes that I can see. His sire has a large blaze as well, no blue eyes, no leg white, but a lot of his foals have lots of white on the head. And his Sire's sire line also carries a lot of blazes, and usually white on a back leg. But so far Big Chex to Cash is the only one with blue eyes.

Definitely splash. Very classic dipped in paint white pattern (bottom heavy face white, high leg white).

Dam and dam's sire are also splash. Sire side isn't as obvious.

The Nu Cash horses are definitly splash/sabino imo and the dam's line (One Gun) is where part of Gunner's splash comes from.

None of my Splash/Sabino Welsh X Arab animals had blue eyes, a few were classic "splashy" chestnuts with bald faces and white spots in the jowl, still had dark eyes. Ir was probably the result of me threatening the mares with blue murder, as I loathe blue eyes on anything except a CrCr!
