Sister's new horse

So she finally gave up on the kool kolor colt, and just bought an unregistered paint mare. Five years old. One blue eye, one brown. She is greenbroke. Ties, leads, loads, and saddles and bridles. I thought she has some neat markings. She's the one with the more white. The darker one is her year old filly. Beautiful markings on both. I'm hoping to get something similar eventually from my minimally marked Frame Stallion. Five in the oven right now.

Whoa, they are stunning! I particularly like the younger filly's markings. Awesome.

Call me crazy (I know you will), but I actually think the filly could be frame alone (or maybe sabino too), but the dam has splash so it's possible it's there too.

Sabino on the filly because of the white under the chin, and white up the fronts of her legs so high? Especialy the back right. Frame likes dark legs? Both have random white patches on the legs. I'm really pleased she passed on the colt from the kolor breeder. Is splash causing the white over the mare's mane then? I love how the white on the filly's left side looks like lightning marks. They were advertised as a package, but after the add went up, the owner started working with the filly and fell in love. Sis's hubby really didn't want an unstarted yearling even though the filly is a beauty as well.

As far as I'm concerned, any gene but tobiano can cause white on the chin. It's not a sabino exclusive.

I'm also of the opinion frame can cross the neck if it wants without any help.

Any white above the knee I am willing to attribute to frame. That's where it typically stops IMO. I do think that hind could even be frame (you'll notice it's movement is very, very, very strange).

Beautiful markings, poster children for Frame methinks, got it all, surpressed leg white, 'framed' body pattern, blue eye....don't think you need to test lol.
